On April 27, 2025, the Youth Chorus premiered “A Continuous Harmony” written for the Youth Chorus by Sean Ivory. The Grand Rapids Youth Choruses commissioned this piece to honor Sean Ivory’s years of dedication and work with and for GRYC. We were given the opportunity to have a workshop with Sean Ivory, and the choristers were given a chance to ask questions about his writing process. Additionally, the third movement of this work has lyrics that were written by members of the Youth Chorus.
